Hurling helmets

Is there any hurling players out there that feel the new rule is annoying having to wear a helmet constantly throughout game play. Lads that grew up not wearing a helmet, will most likely find it hard to get used to.

OK , fair enough, it maybe more safe but isn't that what made hurling more exciting? Anybody outside of Ireland watching hurling, there are amazed at how brave these men are with no protection at all. Especially the keepers:eek:

    Brave or Stupid?

Serious head injury, talk to a neurosurgeon.

These boys thinking they're invincible is laughable.

    Ex camogie player here

I couldn't get used to wearing a helmet at all. I felt it was restricting the way I played until I got a massive belt just beside my eye and realised I'm better off getting used to it than ending up without an eye!

To be honest I don't think the tourists are thinking how brave the players without helmets are, rather are they absolute fupping lunatics? :D
