    Found it that ok it is secure...
    Just confusing the root of the site is not using a SSL cert...

    A lot of sites don't use a cert at the site root just when it comes to the payment part.

    I tried signing up for card there and even when it went to the checkout part it was still not encrypted.
    Bit strange considering the site in question.
