I'm thinking of taking up evening language classes.

Anyone have experience with either of these places?

Galway Language Centre, The Bridge Mills http://www.galwaylanguage.com/

The Language Institute, 58 Dominick Street http://www.languageinstitute.ie/

Or have any other recommendations in Galway City?

I've been to French in Bridge Mills, was good.

I did three semesters of Japanese in the bridge mills a few years ago , they're good value for money and fun, too. All their classes are well run, they're a professional language school.

I did a beginner's Spanish class in the Galway Language Centre at Bridge Mills from Sep-Dec just gone. It was good I have to say with adequate notes/materials etc. and the teacher was good. On a general note about languages....you have to do at least some work/practice outside of class if you are serious about learning it. Do as I say not as I did!
