Just wondering if anyone knows any good websites with free knitting patterns for men's jumpers. I tried to google it but any of the ones that actually had free patterns all seemed to be for women's stuff and a lot of other ones sent me off on a series of links to other websites that eventually led to nothing. Thanks in advance and sorry if this has been dealt with before.

Are the patterns actually available on ravelry. Maybe I'm being really stupid but when I chose a pattern it just gave the details of the yarn etc. and people doing it but I couldn't see the actual pattern!!!

The patterns on ravelry are a combination of free ones, patterns you can pay to download and knitters own. If they're free there'll be a link to "free pattern" under the details of the yarn used.

I second the Ravelry suggestion otherwise I've found that googling something along the lines of " knitting pattern free men's jumper" comes up with some interesting stuff but the thing with ravelry is that, when you look at a pattern, there's a thumbnail at the top called "projects" and you can see what real people manage !

www.knittingpatterncentral.com is great. Its basically a directory of links to free patterns. Also try yarn brand websites. Lionbrand have 1000's free patterns, once you sign up, and my favourite www.garnstudio.com, they have a good few free patterns
