    :)Okey Dokey,

So with all this cold weather I've been getting to know my trusty Turbo trainer a bit better!

Just wondering what cycling or other movies - people might recommend to watch while on the Turbo??

(anything to help time go by!:))

Roam and Seasons are both very good MTB movies by The Collective http://www.thecollectivefilm.com/. Lovely scenery and great shots. There is also a new Irish MTB movie worth watching http://breakthecyclefilm.com/. Anything to take your mind off the boredom...

I watch mainly series and documentaries ... sometimes soaps (yea yea ): I watched the old Attenborough documentaries, Law and Order, gavin and stacey, or actual training Vids .. or cycling if it's on, or whatever is on the Discovery channel if it's interresting...

I find it odd that people watch cycling videos on a turbo. Surely you want to escape from the experience, not compound it?

For low-intensity, I watch TV serieses. Once the intensity gets too high to concentrate properly on the plot, I listen to looped Euro beats at high-volume.

The Imagic is good in that the scenery moves whilst on the turbo. It allows me to go into a vegatative state, just like I do on the road.

Watched Rocky & Rocky II there the last two nights, kind of keep going but then when the training montages and fighting happens for the last 45 minutes or so I find myself spinning faster. It's Rocky III tonight.

It just gets a bit uncomfortable on the saddle after a while.:D

    In 2009 I watched

The whole 6 seasons of The Sopranos
    Casino
Once Upon a Time in America
    Scarface
    Goodfellas (notive a trend here).
    Several James Bond films.
    The Bourne Trilogy
Life on Mars (but kept laughing so found it hard).
    A couple of Rocky films.

and a few others I can't remember. I've just started on The Wire.

Don't think of it as time on the turbo, think of it as an opportunity to catch up on some good DVD's without interuptions.

If you can follow the intricacies of The Wire while turboing you're a better man than I.

I've been watching Glee and am only slightly ashamed. I figure being on the turbo roughly halves my IQ, so I need something with as little subtlety and subtext as possible.

You may be right, that's probably why I went through my phase of watching mostly gangster films. Not too involved.

Oh Tom, "Glee", really? Watched it last night, it's just as unbelievable as high school musical even thought it's trying to aim for an older age bracket.

Real men watch "Mad men". I powered through the first season (from my bed, chest infection) but season 2 is now being saved for turbo sessions.
