Any updates on what the state of the roads are like in Drogheda. AA website says Drogheda roads are OK yet there seems to be loads of bus eireann cancellations around Drogheda

Have not been outside today but our estate is lethal and is completely white - does not seem to have thawed out completely since before xmas....

What are the roads like around the town? Like the dublin road, road connecting dublin road and beamore road? Whats the train station park like?

Are taxis running? Are they willing to drive into the icy estates?

Dublin road is fine from Colpe into the town, and the town itself is ok.
However..trying to get ONTO the Dublin road is a nightmare for some. Saw a few cars unable to exit Stameen earlier as the slight incline onto the Dublin road was covered in ice - this was around 3pm. I've not seen or heard one gritter out on the Dublin Road so I don't understand how it's stayed clear.

The corporation should be ashamed of themselves. There are people literally trapped in their homes right now because nowhere has been gritted. If they even went out with a load of sand it would alleviate the problems somewhat.

Completely agree, we went for years only using sand, it's not like there's a lack of quarries or sand pits around! The whole importing salt thing is just an excuse for their incompetance.

The Corporation have been gritting roads night and day, and like everywhere else in the country, have almost run out.
