    1.77 euro saving.

Wonder will it convince anyone to buy one?

Simple so - don't buy it.

No idea why this is a consumer issue. Seems more like just a rant.

It is the VAT reduction from 21.5% to 21%.

The Argos website must be set up to highlight price reductions

argus do this with lots of prices so that they can make claims about the number of price cuts they have made

With the money you save, you could buy another brand new one in Newry!

Not a consumer issue i know, but I'm glad someone mentioned this.

This whole "save a euro" thing is on tonnes of products. I really don't get it at all. I've noticed it a lot lately. Bucket loads of products i've searched for or come across on Argos.ie over the last week or so have been special offers with in and around €1 off (sometimes silly stuff like 10c off).

    It seems so odd.

I've seen some odd complaints here, but complaining about price reductions takes the biscuit. People must be really bored if it has come to this.

    It's just the VAT

    I think it's actually a VAC reduction.
