Is there any way I can edit my custom.conf file and change it back to the way it was? I changed it the other day (to add in an autologin command) and I haven't been able to login since, I just see a black screen with the mouse and it seems to be continually loading!

get to a command line using Crtl+Alt+F1
    log in
cd to the location of your custom.conf
    edit it...
did you make a backup of the file?

Cheers, Ctrl-Alt-F2 got me in in the end. I think Ctrl-Alt-F1 switches back to Gnome!

Sweet. Ctrl+Alt+F7 is usually where the graphical session lives on ubuntu, so the F1 up to F6 gets you to a terminal login prompt. Didnt know Fedoras setup, good to hear you got it sorted.
