Hi,

If an old age pensioner on a means tested non-contributory pension has been left €200,000 in a trust fund to be administered by the executors of the will, will she lose her pension?

The OAP will only be given €50 per week from the trust fund and will not own the €200,000 as such. She is currently allowed to earn €30 per week without her pension being affected. So will she just lose €20 per week from her pension or will the department see her as owning the €200,000?
