I took them down all down at lunchtime today. And did the clean up also :):)

Just to put them into the attic now and then all done for another 11 months.

Replaced them with my Paddies day decorations, a bit early I know but they were just sitting up in the attic.

We leave them up for as long as possible. Took the tree down on the 5th of Feb last year. I like to get value out of stuff...

You could always stick on a bing crosby xmas cd and have a turkey dinner tomorrow. Just for pretend! :D

I'll take them down at the weekend. I have Lights on the house and my neighbor is persistant in telling me he wants to leave the lights up a bit longer (they has a matching set) so I can't be arsed with listening to them moan about it til' next year if I take them down before them

suits me anyway, I'll be fcuked if I'm climbing any ladders before it thaws out

Hope to get around to it tomorrow. Fecking tree is taking up too much space.

You know what Turkey sounds like a good idea. Considering you only get that stuff 2 times a year, and I happen to think among meats that it is extremely delectable.

It may be in bad taste, but it's only bad luck if the lights set the tree on fire & your house burns to the ground.

Taking down decorations on Friday when I'm off, for once I'm looking forward to taking down the tree because we have a big fat new couch that needs the space it's in! For now still enjoying the twinkly lights :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,583 ✭✭✭cloneslad

dad had ours all taken down when I got up this morning. We have one of those trees where the lights just shine out at the tip and the tree in plugged in so it's handy taken down and put up!

I won't be home next christmas, be on a beach somewhere in s.e. asia, so it was nice to spend this one in the cold...but the snow and ice can fook right off now!!

Yeah, they're all gone, place looks so bare now!

I would've liked to start taking decorations down today, but alas . . . It's mid week, i.e., I try not to do much of anything that requires exertion. The tree does look a bit dry and droopy though; it's definitely time.

    Yep.

Took it all down today, and sold it!...the plastic tree, the decorations..all of it.

I will be spending my next Christmas in chilly Irlanda.

Just hope I can find a job :o
