Hi folks i know there are a lot of planet x owners on here im considering one of the £899 euro promo bikes haven,t got the computer skills to post link but ultegra groupset full carbon all sounds good to me. My question is basically am i missing something i know its not the best looking bike and i plan to change the wheels asap should i go for it. Im buying through ctw scheme and cant afford to add much money to the 1000eu at moment so i think this is as good as it gets am i right. Thanks in advance

There's a thread just down the way "calling all planet x owners" which may help

It is a beautiful bike. How dare you insult its honour. You do not deserve to own one. Get something common like a Cervelo instead.

Not many meet Tiny and forget they have done so.

On a slightly more serious note if you have not actually seen one personally almost everyone thinks it looks a lot better in the flesh. The white is a very very nice bike but would be an effort to keep clean... the black actually looks great too though.

    Cervelo's are rubbish anyway.

The pink is surprisingly good looking in the flesh.

What wheels would you be looking to be rid of, doesn't that offer let you choose between eight wheel sets, albeit at extra cost?

Also- the cheapest "Model C" wheels are actually pretty good. Solid 32 spoke construction and very light for the price. They are substantially lighter than the entry-level wheelsets that come with most bikes in the £1,000-£1,500 price bracket.

I was the same, have wheels coming out of my ears around here and so sold them on. You should sell them easily enough, they are good wheels. I got €120 for them.

I got PX model B's with mine, review:- http://www.bikeradar.com/gear/category/components/wheel-sets/product/model-b-09-34037 They're lighter than my Ksyrium Elites.

    Neither rubbish or common.

Tiny wasn't there. It was either me or Raam:

Well, you know what they say ... "you have to be a real man to wear pink". I chose the black myself.

@Poolboy, as they don't have any basic wheels in stock they might do you a good deal without wheels.
