Editing Video On You Tube

    Hope this is the right place for this. I have a video uploaded on you tube,its over 5 minutes long but only want from 2 mins 31 sec's onwards to play,anyone know if it can be cut on you tube

    if the3 video is already upload to youtube I'm not sure it can be edit there... maybe ask in the forums on youtube itself.

    But to edit some video prior to uploading I read in these forums that Virtual Dub http://www.virtualdub.org/ works. But I think it is windows only.

    On linux you might try Avidemux or perhaps "Open Movie Editor" http://www.openmovieeditor.org/ - but to be honest I have not used either so cannot recommend more. Perhaps if you try them you can let us all here know which you preferred and why? :)

    Avidemux on Linux ..... if it is to shorten the video is very suitable indeed .......... just mark the part to be discarded and save the rest.
