I see Lance is using one here

Are these what Garmin were using last year for TT warm ups?

    What difference do they make?

they pre cool your core before riding in continental summer temperatures, so no need for it here :)

    That's fairly obvious, thanks!

I was wondering if there is any scientific data available online to back up the benefits?

Would the lads in the CC champs on sunday want to warm up in laggin jackets so?

I think this comes from Allen Lim - From when he was helping Landis, he thought if he could lower core temps on that stage of the TDF that he could go with a higher RPM, although ICE Vests are nothing new overall in sporting terms..

Have you raced up continental alpine passes in summer? or done a TT in the south of france?
until you experience that heat it'll remain a mystry ;)

Don't be so disingenuous. It must be a mystery to you too because you seem to be waffling

For your info ive raced in +30 deg c - not that it's relevant, never saw them used until 2009 TDF TT by Garmin.
