    CSI, LOST, The Hills.

+ Infinity on CSI and all similar shows to it. I think the format of them all is ridiculous, someone commits a crime, some investigation, maybe some forensics and hey presto we have found the criminal. And every time and on every show they find the criminal. How are people not bored of it ? It has to be a case of find Wally, for the criminal this time.

They are exceptions like Bones - but then that is focused far more on humour and the characters that the crime solving.

They dont become bored as they are bedazzled by all the pretty colours and uber glossy, CGI enhanced everything. Makes me sick :(

Surely 2 and a half men has to be on this list.
What a complete pile of rubbish. I find it very hard to believe that people actually find this funny. Is it one of the top rated American shows though?
Is there even one joke in this crap that can't be seen coming two hours before the episode even starts?
I'd say the only people that get a laugh out of this are the writers who can write any kind of drivel that they like and get paid for it.
Can anyone that does find it funny explain to me what exactly they find funny about it? Is it the jokes (surely not), the characters (you need help) or the innovative plotlines (this is obviously a joke worthy of inclusion on the show).
Canned laughter does not a comedy make.
The worst excuse for a comedy that I have ever had the misfortune to have seen.

You know, I saw the thread title, and who created the thread, and I thought, uh oh! No offense Rich, but you're like a kid with backpack full of shovels on an open beach..... :p

In fairness, it took a whole 3 minutes before The Hills was mentioned (I thought it'd be quicker).

Anyhoo.... I'd agree with Jersey Shore. I saw the first one, and I've never seen 8 more wholly unlikeable people on one show, ever.

Totally agree. Ya know those nights ya leave Paramount on in the Background, and some Goddawful Stand-Up is on. But ya leave it on maybe there'll be the odd laugh. 2 and a half men comes on and ya dont bother changing the channel. Then 15 minutes later it comes back from a break and ya realise the break was way better than that ****ing ****E.

any of those conspiracy shows on discovery. It has about 5 minutes of footage before repeating it over and over again.

It never teaches you anything new due to patent and copyright laws imo

Jersey Shore is car crash material. Each episode involves a fight at some bar and then the cast members subsequently saying how cool they are and how they beat up some punk. **** heads the lot of them

To be fair.. I'm not a fan of 'The Big Bang Theory' but it's 'Fawlty Towers' when compared to the steaming pile turd that is 'Two And A Half Men'.

    Any "comedy" made by RTE.
Also, most dramad made by RTE. (The Clinic being a possible exception)
    The Big Bang Theory

You got in there before Elmo. Impressive.

Reality TV goes without saying, I just hate the current crop of American sitcoms - How I Met Your Mother, Big Bang Theory and Two and a Half Men. And to think something like Arrested Development got cancelled while these shows get huge ratings!

Xpose, christ what a terrible show, sub z list presenters thinking they're best friends with "celebs" (anyone who uses that phrase deserves to be stabbed), one of the most vapid, pointless shows on tv

The Apprentice, watch a bunch of dickheads fight it out to be another dickheads lackey, and the contestants, sweet jesus, theres scary eyes girl, mucksavage man, backstabbing bitchface, cocky asshole and the nice simpleton, its like a Justice League of assholes

Definitely Two and a Half Men, what a steaming pile of horse manure.
I cannot fathom how it so popular.

Oh and that new show on the BBC, Big Top, is absolutely dreadful too (so it's not just RTE who make terrible comedies!)

I honestly don't get this. Deal or No Deal UK is far more facepalm, quadroubple your Irish deal or no deal face palm.

    Noel's Christmas Present.

And I think you all know the other show I would usually state, its already been mention and I don't need to mention it in this post :D

Its a fixture on my sig anyway :D

Ha, yeah, I forgot about that dire show. Seeing that mentioned reminds me of another "Everybody loves Raymond".

I haven't seen Big Bang Theory. Have had lots of people tell me I "really ought to look at it" but it has never really been on my radar. Never seen any ads on it or anything, so its not based on anything. This thread isn't making me inclined to make watching it a priority, and that should I watch it, not to expect much from it.
