    any ideas on where i can buy a reasonable priced 17" or thereabouts monitor for a computer in galway

    19" is possibly the smallest monitor a lot of places will stock, you should check out PC world and Curries...

    Failing that, I think i saw some 17" TFTs in PC world the other day, and theres one I believe in the cash converters shop down beside the cellar in Galway city. Hope this helps.
