Ipod Touch 3.0 update?

    Im interested in updating my ipod touch to 3.0 but i dont want to lose my apps i downloaded to the ipod touch directly.does anyone know a way around this.

    also does anyone know how to unlock the volume limt.i cant remember my pin number.

    Is it jailbroken apps or app store?
    if app store then connect your ipod to itunes, go to aaplication and tick on Sync apps, that wil ask you to transfer apps click yes and sync.
    then update the software and sync again.

    for jailbroken apps google Appsync , i am not saying any more.
