I've just checked a couple of flights here..

and one is departing one way for Tenerife from Dublin:

Ryanair : Taxes and Chargers (well, not the hidden ones :P): €123.36 on the 7th of April and thats their cheapest!! Their other flight is on the 9th at €148.36..

Aer Lingus : After tax and charges : €93.30 on the 8th .. and the 13th is €83.30

    And thats just one example..
Personally I would prefer to fly Aer Lingus too :):)

feb 1st ryanair one way dublin to tenerife €36.99 (includes all taxes)
    feb 3rd ditto €44.99
    feb 7th ditto €29.99
    feb 22nd ditto €29.99
    feb 24th ditto €29.99

so the cheapest one-way flight i can find between now and march is €30 with ryanair

cheapest one-way flight with aer lingus is €65.96 available feb 18, 25 and march 2nd; more than double the price

Supply and demand, that's why people shop around.
