    Hi,
If you only have 3 gig ram and don't intend getting anymore (memory is expensive for a laptop) does it make more sense to use windows 7 32 bit or 64 bit?

Will 64 bit be too heavy for a 3G Laptop?

    Thanks.

64bit is always preferable nowadays in my opinion, but only if your laptop has the specs for it.

    Windows 7 64bit requires:

    1Ghz 64bit CPU
    2GB Ram
    20 GB HDD space

If your buying a laptop online get 64bit pre installed. It doesn't cost extra normally, if your buying and installing it your self be sure to check the version that on the laptop. You can't upgrade 32bit to 64, you need a clean install.
