Is this a crime, what kind of trouble could I get into. Have a problem with someone and have exausted every other measure. I want to let the air out of one of their tyres once a day till they cop on.

Yeah, Criminal Damage, don't do it. If you had exhausted every area properly you would not have to do this.

I did not know it was legal to discuss illegal activities on boards. Then again.... I always though this was considered tresspassing.

However i have to say if you want a sure way of escalating the tension i would say your on the right track

You'd only be playing into the other person's hand if you went ahead and did this.

Plus you're opening yourself up to criminal convictions (criminal damage, trespass) which may in-turn have implications for your work and/or future employment status

You'd also have a criminal record which will also have implications on travel and visa restrictions - kiss usa/australia good bye etc

For the minor glee you'd get from it, you'll get a world of bother too

Didn't let the air out of the tyres, but barred the SNIPPED from the premises, was then met with a "your store could burn down tonight" can I go to the guards with that and seek a barring order for him and his car from coming within 100 meters of me?

You should definitely talk to the guards about this.
Note down every encounter with this person.
If he is coming into your store after you banning him you should have CCTV footage to back that up? I'm sure you have a camera on the premises.

Plus if his car is...being parked outside or in an area it isn't allowed.... then take a photo of it.
One that has the date down at the bottom of photo-to prove what time and date it was there.

DON'T give them anything let them have the power!
Bite your tongue and just keep the guards informed of what is happening.

it is allowed, it wasn't always, hence the sinister plot to let the air out of the tyres.

How do you change a town parking law once it's been changed? Is there any other route? I've told it can't be done. If the Garda deemed his actions to be malicious?
If it's seen to be affecting business then surley's there's a need.

It was already changed before when said individual objected, I never new until he started to excersize his rights 24hrs a day with interchangable cars, complete madness. He's also in dispute with the owner of the premises where he parks his other car all day. He has nothing better to do all day, he has never worked. He is not disabled, he's well able to park cars.

Ok - OP. I tried to make this point earlier. This is the legal discussion thread, we've discussed the fact that what you propose is illegal. Now, unless you got something else to discuss with relevance to the forum then go elsewhere.

Another poster has also suggested that we are bordering on not being within the Charter here. So, this is not legal advice, but go to the Gardai or get a solicitor, but continuing on here is becoming somewhat a pointless exercise. You propose an illegal act, we've discussed the act and if you want I can post the statutory maximums for the act per Gabhain7's post, otherwise please stop.

    Sorry Tom, message understood.
my question is how would you go about seeking a change in a parking law to allow residential parking only outside business hours? I've been told by the town council and town manager that it can't be done. Where do I go next.
I should have probably started this thread with the correct question. :o
