Race to put in the calender..

Dundalk are hosting its first half marathon and 10k run on the wednesday 6:30pm 5th may 2010

It looks to be a savage course around the town centre where there will be 2 laps for the half marathon and 1 lap for the 10k.. It is pancake flat..

Great way to throw it into the training diary or target it for a pb!

Website will be be live shortly www.dundalkhalfmarathon.com with all details of the course route etc etc..

May is a very popular time for races, so far a couple or marathon and half marathons, Lots of back up races for me if anything happens :)

Perfect tune up race for me, I needed something that week for my programme - can't wait to give a running race a proper lash. Should be nice to do a race around the streets of Fundalk, just as long as I can spank LCD back into his box and show him its not all about the bike, on his home turf too :)

Mid week too so it won't interfere with my long bikes if I get back on the IM training game. Excellent.

I ll do this, a 10k around then will suit perfect and the price is definitely right esp compared to some of the newer races. does anyone know the course? fast?

Home turf pretty much, I'm gonna run the 10KM. Ran 5KM yesterday, plenty of time to train! Hoping for 10KM in under 45 minutes, 't'will be my second race!
