    Just read this on irishcycling.com

The Board has also found it necessary to modify the definition relating to Sponsored Club in that
    Chapter G5 will now read,

    3. Any club who satisfies either of the following conditions, will be considered to be a sponsored club.

    a) The name of the club contains any commercial name or trademark

    b) The registered club jersey carries any commercial names or trademarks other than the manufacturer’s logo.

Does this mean that any club that has the name of anything like a hotel or company will be liable to the sponsored team position?
This is a more costly affiliation fee as far as im aware.

Why would you have a hotel or company on your jersey if they weren't sponsors??

It's only another €200 registration fee BTW (and thats for the entire club)

well i feel there should be a distingush between the value of sponsors bring.

some teams may have a sponsor worth a couple of grand, another team may have one or two names on the jersey for a few hundred quit. For the 200 quid extra its hardly worth putting them on?
