Specs seem very poor for a laptop of last year even - 1GB RAM and 100GB HDD???

Ah, always the bitter word...

So, what should I buy for <€350 delivered?

It's a SONY , unless things have changed it will probably run slow for it's spec.

Also check up for drivers if you are thinking of putting XP on it as they don't offer XP drivers for all older models.

Anything off the dell outlet offers better value. Even the usual cheap power city laptops offer better value than this, this is a terrible deal. Laptop is so poorly specced as to be barely usable.

It's actually a 2 and a 1/2 year old model, and was £590 when it was launched.

Edit: Ok, managed to cancel that.

    Thanks for the heads up.

The dell outlet is down at the min, when it comes back up, check it every now and then.
They have well specced basic 15.4" laptops all the time for €350-€450.
