    Hey

Just wondering anyone know if anything is going to be done about the waiting times? Its abit of a joke to be honest. I know the private instructors were cut out and it is all public only now.

Like its such a typical thing with Ireland

    A. Pass a law, about having a fully liecenced driver with you at all times if your on a provisional.

    B. Then let you wait 6 months to get experience. Before you can sit your actual test.

    c. Then wait 2 and half months in a long queue.

Like seriosuly....in loads of countries its pretty straight forward to get a licence. Ok I can understand the experience and the Law with the licenced driver dont get be wrong its just the fact you then got to wait another while to actually get a test!

Like i suppose everyone complains about it until they get the licence then they just move along and dont bother trying to help the others waiting!

Now I shall go to bed.

    Moved to Learning to Drive.

Provisional licenses haven't been issued since October 2007. They are now called Learner Permits.

    1. Even when people were on Provisional licenses they were not "permitted" to drive unaccompanied unless they were on a second provisional.

    2. You can apply for your test before the 6 months are up, you are correct though waiting times have increased.

I'm waiting on a test around 9 weeks now but I'm not too bothered because I don't really use the car too much. Its for Churchtown in Dublin by the way.

Anyway I expect to be waiting quite a bit longer because a lot of tests would have been postponed with the weather this past couple of weeks
