does anyone know what FPGA dev boards are at UCC?

    I am doing my post grad proj and have not used these yet but need one for a hdl routine, are they spartan 2?

    can you attach external modules to them ?

    If you get one from the Elec Eng department like I did last year then you will be using a Spartan 3 with XC3S200 chipset. It did allow the addition of external modules although we didn't use them.
    If you get in contact with Dr. Colin Murphy in the Elec Eng department he might be able to loan you one although I do know that second years labs use the same FPGA also so they might be short supply.

    There are also Spartan 2s bouncing around the place. To get those get in contact with Dr. Popovici of the Micro-Elec dept or if you are in Tyndall get in contact with one of the hardware managers.
