    Ok sum advise/question!
I have always played airsoft while warring ess fan goggles, was ordering sum stuff in from the uncompany and decided to but my first full face mask with mesh, so my question is if another player was using **** cheap bb’s could they hit the mesh, the bb split and get through the mesh hitting the player in the eye with the fragments of the bb?

Just wondering if anyone has an opinion ….

I have used a mesh mask for CQB since I started airsofting and have not had a single BB fragment and come through the mesh at me at all. I think the only ones that tend to fragment like that are bio-degradable BBs and I don't think that any of the indoor sites allow them. Perhaps the outdoor sites are different.
    Just my two cents... :D

If the goggles work for you then i'd stick with them. That said, I've always used mesh and feel very safe doing so.

I tried using a full face mask and the fogging was shocking, so wanted to try the mesh ones just to c what they like..thought I might have found sum one on this with horror bb fragment injuries lol

Make sure it's stamped mesh rather than woven. I've never heard of an actual case of BBs fragmenting and coming through mesh it just seems to be hearsay but for what it's worth people tend to refer to super cheap low quality bios when they do talk about it.

I have tested both woven & stamped and found that the woven one linked below is very strong, stronger than some of the common stamped ones.

Going for stamped mesh i would definitely go for Bitter End goggles which uses very good quality stamped steel mesh:

I have used mesh goggles/glasses for the last 3 years without any trouble. I have used woven and stamped. The woven ones can get pretty dented but never failed me. The stamped ones are definately stronger and would definately reccommend them.
We use only bio bb's at our site and have never had them break up into the mesh at all.

Im seriously considering a pair of bitter end goggles myself, have heard nothing but good things about them :D

Tbh id be more worried about painted mesh goggles, have heard of paint chipping and being sent into the users eyes when struck by a bb :(

They're the second link in MacAonghuna's post. I use a pair and am very happy with them, although I get a minor red rash around the bottoms of my eyes where the foam sits. Haven't tried cleaning them in case of poisonous chemicals yet though.

The mesh is thicker than some other meshes (esp woven) so they are slightly harder to see through (though an acceptable trade off for stronger mesh).
I've also noticed some minor sun glint off the inside of the holes.

    I still recommend them though.
