Hey im on my first car and I want to get it serviced. A mate of mine mentioned this would probably be the best placed to ask. Can you let me know where you get your car serviced in the Dublin area and for how much. Im broke after xmas Cheers

€20 on a gallon of oil, €8 on a filter, another few bob on spark plugs (not essential to change every service) some basic tools, Volvoboys post on how to service your own car and an hour of your time is all it costs.

Lots of service places will look for in excess of €150 to do a basic service, it is well worth learning how to do it yourself!

Many main dealers do a basic service for €79.
