Hi my laptop (dell inspiron 6400) had a small knock, physically screen looks perfect but immediately after the drop the image was a mess, white was mainly appearing as turquoise. The problem disappeared later and was fine for a few days. But now the image is constantly displaying these colours. Any idea if the screen is…

my laptop (dell inspiron 6400) had a small knock, physically screen looks perfect but immediately after the drop the image was a mess, white was mainly appearing as turquoise. The problem disappeared later and was fine for a few days.
But now the image is constantly displaying these colours.
Any idea if the screen is definitely damaged, I also heard that it may be the inverter. I can pick up a new screen for around 100, but dont want to spend that and then end up having the same problem.

I'd say it is the screen.

The screen for the 6400 comes with an inverter attached.
