Pour yourself a nice hot bath and bring the toaster in with you to keep the water from going cold.

Jam something in the microwave to make it work with the door open and turn it on. You'll be a little bubbly but nice and warm.

I'm going to improve on that, just go to your local boozer and be the new urinal! Hot golden showers for free!!

Throw some jelly fish at them instead. A kind samaritan will hopefully give them a nice golden shower.
That way you also get warm from the excersise you're getting from throwing jelly fish.
    Win, win.

Edit: AND if no samaritan comes along the pain will distract them from the cold. This plan is foolproof.

Have the dog sleep at the end of the bed. She's at the right temperature all night. If the feet get cold at night you could place them on her belly and she gets a belly rub.

Eating apparantly heats you (something to do with the metabolism or summit).

So next time you get stuck in one of those walk in freezers you'll have an excuse for scoffing all the magnums

    Hot water bottle
    10-12 layers of clothes

    this one has been debunked.

wearing a hat is only of use if you have lots of other clothes on as well as it's only then that the heat loss through your head is a priority

Someone else's hands down your pants. Preferably that someone being of the opposite sex, but hey, I'm open to new experiences no matter how traumatic they may be.

Been using the dog thing for years but she blocks my view of the telly. Being serious for a minute- does the hat thing work?

Hat thing definetly works, when I'm waiting for the house to warm up, I stick on a hat. (and a duvet) :D

Build a fort in the living room from the sofa cushions and your body heat will keep you warm...make sure leave a letter box sized opening for TV viewing.

The pint of water would be unnecessary, any gas/paraffin stove without a flue probably produces a pint of water an hour anyway
