Trade Phat 80GB PS3 For Slim?

ive had my 80gb ps3 for prob around 18 months if not more, recently ive started to worry that its going to pop its clogs and the bluray laser is gonna go or whatever something may fail

and i dont wanna have to fork out to sony to repair it

does anyone know if xtravision, game, or gamestop do any kind of deal if u trade in ur old phat ps3 for a slim?

I am in a similar situation,but I have my 80gb 13 months. It only cost me 245 up north once I sold the free games that came with it. The way I look at it is that it is likely to last 2 years at least in all probability and we will more than likely have had another price drop by then. So I am not bothered.

Until then I will just keep the thing clean(ish) and give its vents a hoovering every other week.

I traded in my refurbished 60 gb for 200 euro in GAME.

That was in October so I don't know how much that may have come down, if at all.
