Me and a group of friends are lookin to head to Puerto del Carmen at the end of January, will be 4 of us and we're 19, I've been before in high season and loved the place! Just wondering if anyone's ever been at this time? Will there be many people around, places open or the lively nightlife I saw last time I was there or is it generally empty at this time of year?

Considering our age we'll be goin for the nights out as well as the sun!

was there a few weeks ago, all the places open but like all the canary islands its mostly older folks around this time of the year, i would say it would be a bit of shock from what you are used to in summer

I agree with the previous poster that you could be in for a bit of a shock. Plenty stuff open but the place is generally a lot quieter than in the summer and there won't be too many of your age group around. No guarantees on the weather at this time of year either.
