    Hi,
I was meant to sign on today but I couldn't as I had to go down to Ennis on Sun night to see my elderly grandmother, then couldn't get a lift back up to Galway until this eve due to the icy roads. It's my intention to ring them/go into the welfare office tomorrow and explain this, but I'm wondering if they will accept it? If not then I'll think of some other story because in fairness I am looking for work, I just couldn't make one day due to circumstances beyond my control

    Cheers

Well, if you would have taken the advise that was given to you when you previously posted about missing your signing day - you wouldn't be in this situation now. Why would you previously post and ask for advise and then ignore the suggestion that you should apply in advance for holidays????

    *Gets off high horse*

Go into your local welfare office, tomorrow, and explain that you couldn't sign because you couldn't make it due to the weather.

Or you could be honest and say that you couldn't sign and didn't follow the correct procedure because ..........(only you know why you didn't follow the correct advise)
