I think the guy who runs EMIS music in Bristol uk has experience with that - he's also connected with a large group of retro synths iirc.

I think the lads in Avondale Studio in Dublin have one. Give Kevin a buzz.

Thanks lads. Ya, I've been to EMIS. He has pretty much every synth ever, but most of it is not set up. :(

Edit- just checked Avondale, they've the Fairlight Dream+, that's a DAW, quite a different beast to the CMI 3 which is a synth/ sampler/ sequencer. Thanks all the same Paul!

Bloody hell, the bain of my life for years when I was in Windmill, what a pile of turd, however I do know of one major league British producer who use these for his drum sounds and has managed to get 2 of them up and going for his 2 studios,

PM me and I will give you his name. I am sure he would like to have spares etc.

Was that a series IIx Denis? Great sound, seems to be about as much fun as DOS to use though.

No a series 3, a IIx would have been OK. This just never worked. 50 grand sterling in the late 80s. Madness. We just used to load samples into it and use
a Mac with Digital Performer to seq it and all the other synths .
