De Facto Relationship Status Help

    Hello Everyone:
My fiance and I have been together almost six years. He is an Irish citizen and I am an USA citizen. I am hoping to come back over with him this Feb and apply for permission to remain under the de facto relationship status, which apparently waives the work permit need.
Has anyone done this that can tell me the full process and the success rate.
We have years worth of pictures, all his visas to the USA, numerous flights and passport stamps to visit one another, a joint bank account in the USA for over two years, the reciept from my egagement ring, the reciept from when we purchased our wedding bands in Ireland, and numerous witness statements to verify our relationship.
Any help in this matter would be truly appreciated by both of us.
    Thanks!

    Hi!
If you have all of that info than you should have no problem getting it. You should ring the Irish Embassy and they will be able to tell you what to do next!

Best of luck getting it but why you want to move to this country instead of staying in America is beyond me!!! I've been trying for the greencard lottery for what seems to be forever trying to get out of here!!!

    Hi OP,

I think you're best bet would be to contact the Irish embassy in Washington DC, here is there web address www.embassyofireland.org. They prob deal with these sorts of questions all the time and would be able to give you better advice than the good people of this forum.

Hope it all works out for and you can come over here soon.

Thank you very much for the wish of good luck. I am trying to get in because it is much easier than bringing him over to the United States. Plus he has an exceptional job there.
