Uncharted 2: When I die in Chapter 4?

    Hoping someone here can help.

As the title may suggest, when playing Uncharted 2 and I die in Urban Terror (I think thats the title of it)/Chapter 4 the game will not go back to the last save. Instead it goes to a blank screen with that dagger spinning in the bottom corner for AGES. I then have to quit game which reboots the system (3 beeps) and select "Chapters" and start the level again.

Also, when I got through the level up until
we both get to the locals apartment, where she opens the door, I go through the apartment until I come to a hole in the wall. Now, all I can see through the hole is yellow, no graphics... so I hang off the edge and drop
subsequently dying and back to square one?

    Anybody else been through this.

BTW, I thought it was a problem with the disc and brought it back and got a replacement so its not that... and I had download the latest update before playing the game, so latest game software (I think it is 1.06) is on the system?

Try deleting the game from the hard drive and reinstalling. The original disc may have been bad and the game assets may be corrupt.

Thanks for that Zainal, but would that mean I would have to start the game all over again?

    No, the save is separate.

    OH NO!

You've just spoiled the game for loads of people!

    Sorry, hold on, that was
    Modern Warfare 2
    I was thinking of.

Cheers for the help people, seems corrupt data from the first disc was the problem. Its working like a dream, up to Chapter 13 now :)

I beat this on hard over the christmas, did the same with Uncharted: Drakes Fortune beforehand. Both are just a pleasure to play from start to finish. I'd recommend starting on Hard for both, it's just right in terms of challenge.

I haven't taken it online yet, as my wireless connection is shocking, but already I'd call it game of the year for me, (2009 obviously). Naughty Dog's ability to craft likeable characters is exceptional. I've never rooted for a guy more than Drake... As for Victor 'Goddamn' Sullivan, brilliant! These two games are reason enough to own the console tbh.

Preferred the writing and characterisation in the first game but the second one trumps that on spectacle. Not enough Sully in the second game though :) Also not a patch on Demons Souls. Sorry Persona 4 but I've a new game of the year.

    Big statement there!

I'm gonna order Demon's Souls, but Valkyria Chronicles just arrived in the post, so I want to finish that first! To say that I like Skies of Arcadia is akin to saying you like Suikoden II, so I've been waiting on this for a while.

Enjoy. I loved it myself and there's some Skies of Arcadia cameos. As for Demons Souls, it really is that good.
