Living in the city, wondering if anyone can recommend a good creche, also does anyone know if there are any that will do a half day only rate? Much appreciated.

the creche in Kilcohan definitley does the half day rate as do a lot of others

i enquired with a creche up on Ballybricken for my daughter a while back. they said they run a half day 9-1 but if you arent there at 1 on the button to collect they charge you 5 euro for every extra 5 mins that you are late..an absolute rip off. i'm sure they all do half rates but you'd have to talk to them individually

i've only ever had my daughter in one creche that i wouldnt recommend so i've no experience with any others other than the information above.:)

Tiptoes out past kilcohen definately do half days, not sure of the rates though as I don't have a child there myself so give them a ring for more info.

I have my 2nd child in the creche in Ballybricken and would recommend it. I have been late a few times in collecting my child and have never been charged anything. They do full time and part time places the full time rate is €140 per week and the part time is €70 per week. The people who work there are extremly professional. When my 1st child started school we were told by his teacher that the creche he was in before was very benifical in his pre school learning abilities.

    I hope this helps you.

my daugther is in a creche on Manor Street (opposite Harvey's) and I would recommend it for sure. just not sure if they have spaces there, as I was waiting 2 months for a vacant space for my baby.
and they surely do half-day rates, my own is going from 9 till 1.

Little Darlings (just off outer ring road) near six cross roads business park is excellent. My Daughter loves it. They do half or full days - open from 7.45 to 5.45. I couldn't be happier with it. Home made food (morning snack, lunch (hot dinner) and afternoon snack included in daily price.

My little fella has been going to Little Darlings since he was 6 months old and I have to say both he and I love the place. The girls are fantastic and the meals are cooked by the owners mother!!! Couldn't recommend them high enough and they do half day rates.

Hi, I am pregnant and looking for recommendations for a good creche in waterford city, there seem to be a lot of good reviews for the creche in ballybricken, can't seem to find any information on this place though or what it is called. Can anybody advise if this place is worth checking out? Thanks.

Just a couple of things to consider when looking for a creche if you want continuity of care and minimal disruption - convenient location to where you live and for school further down the line as your little one will make friends and it would be handy if they were local and also some of the friends would be moving on to the same school. Also if the creche you're thinking of will do school collections from your local schools if required.

Having originally posted this thread in 2010 I can highly recommend little scholars in bishops town off the outer ring. Excellent staff, and reasonable rates.
