Volunteering in Cork?

Hi, I would love to volunteer at an animal shelter, does anyone know somewhere that is looking for people, anywhere in Cork really? I emailed the ACS ages ago but got no response. I might email them again, but maybe they don't need anyone?

Btw, I have had dogs, cats and small animals all my life, am studying to be a vet nurse, don't have experience with horses, etc, but am willing to learn, and don't drive.

    Thanks for any responses

Have a look at the animal care societies in your area and give them a buzz. Think about what services you can offer - transport, fostering, admin etc. Some rescues are really only a few people and sometimes things can get lost. Give the ASC a buzz and see where that goes.

The CSPCA in Mahon does not take volunteers over the age of 18 anymore, as some eejit sued them over some little thing (I can't remember what it was but it was something frivolous.)
