Our business is signed up with vodafone and they have offered us all vodafone to vodafone call free. How do you know when you are calling another mobile provider? My number starts with 086 but as I say with vodafone.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

There is usually a "beep" when you are calling from one network to another.

We have Nokia E51's. I tried calling another network no beep. Would there be a setting in the phone for this ?

this is done automatically by the network - its handset independant

it is there when you are calling a number that has a specific operator prefix (eg 087) that is now ported onto a different operator (eg o2)
