    I have the studio 15

I like it but there are a few annoying things about it..

    1) When I shutdown the OS fully the standby light keeps flashing like its on standby, I have to physically remove the battery and replace it to shutdown completely..

    2) I installed Windows 7 , there does not appear to be proper drivers for the 512MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570, Ive contacted Dell and AMD and have had no satisfaction, Basically I cannot achieve the resolution I had with Vista...

    OK from research:
    Studio has three things
    1. Better graphics card
    2. Better built in speakers
    3. HDMI slot

But nothing else, unless I am missing something. I rang Dell to ask. The person on the phone didn't seem to know much.

I am just wondering is there any other subtle difference such as the mouse / touch pad?

anybody know anything, I would be grateful if they passed on the info.

    Thanks.

What do you want it for?

Will Dell Ireland offer the Core i7/i5 processors again? They had them for a short period but removed them since.

Same goes for the Full HD screen.

EDIT: For the Studio 17, that is. :)

Standard stuff + I am a developer so do the odd bit of work at home.

I ended up going for the Inspiron. I saw no compelling argument for paying the extra yoyos for the Studio. I'll put up a review for it once I have used it a bit.

    cheers.

As far as I know, the Studio will get a minor revamp and platform change to bring in the i5 and i3. That might be why they've pulled some spec options, just to try and shift as many Core2Duos as possible before they're dumped.

Theres Inspirons with i5 now (and cheaper i3 to follow).
