RTE weather forecast studio location

Anyone know if the studio which is used for RTE tv weather forecasts is located in RTE or in Met Eireann headquarters in Glasnevin? I know some of the people who present the weather forecasts are not meteorologists but some are. I would presume they would have more up to date forecasts if their studio was located in their headquarters in Glasnevin.

Just something that I wondered about over the christmas period.

Studio is in RTÉ, Met Eireann also have an office in RTÉ with all facilities required. They are as up to date as they would be if in Glasnevin. They've shown the office in the background a couple of times when interviewing forecasters during recent news reports about the weather.

I think it depends on who is giving the forecast, Jean Byrne and Evelyn Cusack for example are professional meteorologists and they do the forecast from the Met Office in Glasnevin. I saw a clip one evening a while back of Evelyn Cusack, she strolled up a corridor in Glasnevin and into the studio, she plonked her cigarettes and lighter on top of a filing cabinet and did the forecast in front of a blue screen.

A few years ago RTE recruited a few people of their own in order to save money and these are the likes of Nuala Carey and Helen Curran, the press lampooned them as airheads when they were hired though all of them have 3rd level degrees, I believe these people do the forecasts from studios in RTE.

You can check out the TV weather people here, it's stated in their profiles if they work for Met Eireann, if it doesn't then they are employees of RTE.
