What are the things you have ever had to "make do" with because you didn't have whatever it was you needed or wanted at the time, only to find out they work/taste.....as good if not even better than what you thought you wanted/needed?
    For instance........
Last night I was reaaally craving some orange chocolate but there was none in the house.......but then I found a kit kat and a can of club orange and oh my did it satisfy my craving, was more orangy and chocolaty than a proper orange chocolate

I've got these crisps here. I get a cheese and onion one and a salt and vinegar one, and I eat them in the same go.

Just this evening i was lamenting the fact that i am currently unemployed and living in a country where employment opportunities are at a premium. What i really wanted was concrete proof that this situation would change as soon as possible; what i decided to make do with was a few glasses of wine followed by a glass of beer or two.
At this moment it's working out great and if you offered me a job in lieu of another beer i'd probably have to deliberate for a while. :D

no earbuds, but a hairclip wrapped in tissue. i find it gives a better clean but can hurt if you get to feisty with it.

Cheesy beans, frankfurters and half an onion. Boil up the beans, stick the chopped up onion and franks in the microwave for a minute, mix together in the pot. Delicious.

Yeah you were close, but the proper spelling would be 'biopsy'

This one time in Thailand I was cruising for a little lady action. Picked up this girl and brought her back to my hotel and well..... it turned out that my definition of 'girl' might need to be re-examined but it was the best night of my life anyways. :)

I hope you realise you should never put cotton buds / tissues in your ear. It just pushes the ear wax further down your ear canal.

I use matches. Melts the wax easy and you get used to the smell of singed ear hair soon enough.

My plan was always to get a supermodel with a ph.d and a great personality for a girlfriend ... but none of them would have me. So I made do with a long line of boring self-obsessed munters instead.

Possibly better than the original. Remains to be seen.

doctors say that to scare you, my ears are never wax filled enough to ram it in further. its just around the edges and in goes the ear bud, swivel, out comes the wax. soooooooooo satisfying :)

I wanted to make a cappuccino but was out of milk. I used eggnog instead. It was really good. Then I decided to add some rum and it was even better.

I organised a threesome last night. A couple of people didn't turn up but I still had a great time.

I'm a big fan of yorkie chunks + Xtra Strong mints = super minty chocolate myself.

Cooking chocolate tastes just as good as a dairy milk when cravings hit. Sometimes..

Curry flavoured koka noodles with a couple of hotdogs chopped up and mixed in. Very yummy.

This is a better method than standing at the sink as the hot steam/water helps open the pores

The saltyness of the crisps and the sweetness of the chocolate mix to make the best taste ever.

ether , it was all the rage here back in the 1890's when the RIC cracked down on the illegal distilling

only thing is , you have to remember to belch, and to remember no to belch near an open fire

An Address On Ether-Drinking; Its Prevalence And Results, by Ernest Hart © 1890 BMJ Publishing Group. British Medical Journal

Love the bit where they say you can drink it without breaking the pledge

Lol, it works though! The only problem is that the oil in the wax erodes the metal coating on the dart!
