1st time install:

Install Yoma Addon server, click NEW server and paste this into AUTOCONFIG URL

Import server and CHECK FOR ADDONS and download.


Updating follow the above but DELETE EXTRA FILES when updated.

Latest version b208 pog sticking it on server later.

The Smoke thing is from JTD a mod only pog has (its in his launcher above ) I get that error but its doesnt affect the game.


Is your dude carrying too much equipment ? When you spawn pick your chosen rifles and make sure you are under the weight limit.

There seems to be a lot of little bugs/idiosyncrasies with ACE. It's still beta of course and completely brilliant.

• Make sure you are running the latest version of the Arma 2 Launcher - previous versions didn't recognize similarly named mods (eg. ACE & ACEX).
  
• Some Mods interfere with ACE - all you need to run it is CBA, ACE & ACEX. If you can't run it, try disabling other mods.
  
• If you get that bug where you keep running in one direction, double tap the relevant direction key - that sorts it.
  
• If you are a gunner in a helicopter, sometimes you can't get out until the pilot gets out first.
  
• You can carry a Javelin/Smaw as well as a backpack but you need to move the javelin launcher to your back first, then equip the backpack. When you equip the javelin later, it will move to the backpack slot and your backpack gets dropped. You can pick it up after though.
  
• Similarly, sometimes when equipping a weapon from your "on back" slot or your backpack, it won't fire. If that happens, double click on the weapon to drop it, then pick it up off the ground again. It should fire normally.
  
• It can be tricky to equip items like a laser designator and say range finder in the two slots for those items in the lower right hand side. Any such equipped item seems to always replace the lower equipment slot. Just remove both the default items so you have two empty slots and then pick the items you want.
  
• When flying an apache (not sure if this happens with a cobra) with an AI gunner, sometimes he won't fire the cannon at targets because a different weapon is selected (the F key doesn't always appear to switch weapon in auto fire mode). If that happens, switch to manual fire, select cannon, then switch off manual fire and your AI chum will blast away at any enemies or Kdjac's he sees.
  
• If you are in a mission critical vehicle. Crash it into any available chopper for extra points.

Also I've read that its important the the ace mods get loaded in this order;
CBA, ACE, ACEX

Ace is a fairly big addon, its important to run a defrag. I prefer not to use the crappy Windows one, I use Perfect disk, another good one is Diskeeper, neither are free tho

cheers pog, yeah its another 38mb download just doin it now , what about the "delete extra files" tab ? does that needed to be clicked after it finishes downloading? did u sort out ur settings earlier today?
