The brother boought a 1TB Iomega ext HDD which we formatted to Fat32. When we hook the HDD upto a pc there is no issues but when its connected to a PS3 it is not recognized. Any ideas?

    Thanks

That is becouse you probably have 2 or more partitions on this hdd. you will have to reformat drive and create on big 1tb partition.

IT wasn't actually me that formatted it, the lad who did also has a ps3 so knows the crack. From what I remember he formatted the HDD with some Linux program which made it into one partion. Was hopping some one else has or heard of issues with the iomega 1tb hdd

    Cheers

Probably needs to be formatted again.

2 good programs are SwissKnife and FAT32format.

The 2nd one worked great when SwissKnife didn't work on my brothers 1.5TB external drive.

Ive used fat32format on about 10 external drives for use with the ps3 for friends etc and its the best out there.Seems to work with any size drive aswell.

Assuming you know your old dos commands :D:D
