The Knife Class - Any advice?

I've unlocked the the tactical knife with my Magnum and have Ninja Pro, Cold Blooded Pro and Marathon but I am still having problems killing more than one or two before getting popped.

Any advice? So far all I know is to run away from the front line and try and get behind them. Easier said than done though.

i just unlocked the magnum tactical knife about a week ago too and i have to say its fun sprinting around the map knivin people!!
though the best class for it is.......
Marathon- so you can keep running non-stop and killin people.
Cold Blooded- so you wont be killed by air support while you are runnin around
or Lightweight- so you make sure you will be able to run up to them fast befor they shoot you.
Commando (important)- you have to use this if you want to be a good kniver as you can always stab other people before they stab u!! Hope this Helps!!!

watch this called "only use me blade" whose never used his gun before and only knives. he uses the magnum tac. knife too and has great tips. hes on the end of 1st prestige with only kniving!

People who use this setup are the worst!

Also if you connection ain't 3-4 bars don't even attempt it, its almost impossible to knife witht the lag!

Not necessarily, but you have to be more subtle as opposed to racing around like a madman. Whenever I have bad lag I take a more silenced setup and approach the game by trying to always be behind the enemy. A few tips though;

1) Use cover well. If a guy sees you, starts firing and you're likely to die before you reach him, immediately duck into cover and, if you can, abandon the fight and look for other meat. If not, stay in cover and hope he comes to you.

2) Stay away from long, narrow spaces and try to stick to the peripherals of a map. The key is encircling your enemy and trying to kill them from behind.

3) You'll always kill more if your teammates are proactive. If you're on a team that's sitting back and sniping, you won't have the chaos and confusion of firefights to make your move. Resign yourself to getting less kills and take it easy.

4) Don't use the class on Afghan. It's the only map I don't use it on although I've seen people make it work. Somehow.
