Could anybody tell me what an IMMIGRATION REFERENCE NUMBER is?
A friend of mine is applying for Irish Naturalisation for his non EU wife and after he fills in his wife's PPS number and her GNIB number its looking for an Immigration Ref No.He thought it was the number on his wife's Garda id but that's the GNIB number and he can't find any other number on her visa so he's really stuck.Any advise would be much appreciated.

First result on google for "IMMIGRATION REFERENCE NUMBER" for me says it's the number on the GNIB card that begins with 69/

If that means anything then that's what it is.

Just for future reference for other people. Immigration Reference Number is a magic number known only to civil servants in Immigration Department. It is on a GNIB card called "Dept No"
