Somebody must know something about this AEG ?
Would I be better of going with the JG (not the full metal one !)?.

dont know much about the agm version but ive just finished rebuilding a JG 416 pretty standard jg internals reliable and easy to upgrade ,decent range and rof
now being abs heres the down side the top reail of the reciever isnt fully secured to the upper reciever its more of metal rail fixed to an abs body not 100% secure around the cocking handle ,
if was you id have a look at SEairsoft they have a fully GFC(jg) metal 416 with upgraded internals and mosfet as standard with a full metal reciever

I'm with Gatling on the JG 416. The top rail is a problem. The rail on the receiver isn't exactly perfect in terms of the rail size/spacing - meaning that if you're using a red dot sight that's fixed on a short rail connection (i.e. like an Aimpoint - instead of a long rail like an ACOG) the connection on the top of the reciever is just loose enough that the sights are liable to move slightly after you've zero'd them in - not good. Of course you can just use a longer red dot (like an ACOG) and it's not a problem - it was just my luck that the first red dot that I got was an Aimpoint type. Otherwise the JG 416 is not too bad of an aeg - I've had mine for about six months and used it pretty much all the time until recently (when I got a SCAR that's now my main aeg). Solid enough aeg aside from the rail issue - and this won't be an issue for everyone, it's just something that I found annoying.

Good luck with that dude. I'm sure it'll be spot on. My SCAR is an AGM and it hasn't let me down yet.

When I get it I'll try to do a review although I'm not the best as explaning things unfortunately.:D

I have the full metal AGM 416 for about 3 mths and it’s not bad at all.

It’s nearly all metal, with the exception of the piston grip, stock and foresight. Even the mag supplied with it is quite good.

The range and hop up are a little below par, but the range will improve slightly with a replacement hop and the 8.4v it comes with is ****, I got myself a 9.6 and things have improved a lot.

Unbelievably, the gears are metal and are stamped XTY, which someone told me are quite good quality.

The only problems I have had with it were the foresight falling off, but luckily I found it and screwed it back on, and it doesn’t like certain bb’s. I found .23g to be best. Mine came with an inter locking top rail, similar to the VFC models so barrel movement isn’t a problem, but there is a youtube video explaining how to fix it (I’ll let you dig that one up yourself).

The charging handle doesn’t lock to the rear like it says in the instruction booklet, and there are little or no trades on it.

But as far as Chinese knock offs go, its one of the better ones……7/10

The usual up grades such as, hop up unit, tight bore barrel etc would turn this into something to be reckoned with.

I'm actually holding off for a few weeks as I wont be skirmishing till like the end of February and by then I'll possibley be able to afford the GFC version.
    Thanks for the review Jonny.:)
