I was meant to be starting a job abroad with a company who offered to pay for my airline ticket as part of a job relocation package. I received the airline ticket and I was due to sign the contract on the first day of my arrival. In the meantime however I was lucky enough to be offered a job at home which I accepted.

Now the company abroad has forwarded their bank details for me to pay back the cost of the airline ticket. As I did not sign any contract or use the ticket do I have the right to refuse to pay?

    Thanks for any replies!

See we don't do advice here, but if we did .....

Forum charter prevents anyone giving legal advice. Please consult a solicitor. If that is not an option visit www.citizensinformation.ie - Employment section.
