I'm not sure if you intended to post this in the cycling forum, but if you did....

off the top of my head, Kilmacud Crokes in Stillorgan or Clann na Gael in Ringsend might be two of the closest clubs.

    Hi guys

    Was wondering about this aswell.

I currently do a bootcamp but its fairly expensive.

I'd love to train with a GAA team (I'm South Dublin based meself) however I doubt they would let you train without you having to actually play for them?? or can you join as a memeber, pay a fee, train but just not play??

I'm sure that wouldn't be a problem. Alot of clubs are crying out for players even just to boost numbers at training. You'd probally have to join so you'd be included in the gaa insurance scheme. But this would be circa €100 at most. What part of south Dublin are you located in?

I play junior football and hurling with Crokes, we won't be starting back for a few weeks, but trainings are usually a decent standard in both and you'd be welcome to join us. Our clubhouse is only 5 mins from Blackrock.

The honest answer is I don't know. You would have to contact St Johns and ask but I'm sure that they will be happy to have another face at training and if not there are plenty more clubs around the area. One of which will surley accomodate you.

    Hi Lads,

Living in Dundrum. Play Senior Football and intermediate hurling (have played senior) in Limerick. Looking to train with a dual club in Dublin with the possibility of transferring as it's becoming harder with work committments to play seriously at home.

Anyone have any contacts for a club that might suit? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Buachaillog and welcome to boards.

If you are looking for a club, check out the stickies at the top of the page and please try not to resurrect year old threads.

    Hi Folks,

I know Realt Dearg welcome players who just want to train with them. I believe there is a small charge which covers insurance costs but its a hell of a lot cheaper than joining a gym. i think its 40euro for the year. They are based most of the summer in Bushy Park.
