Was looking at this bundle before Xmas - and it was defo at the £159.99 price. (Mind you there was a bigger selection of games)

Just went as far as "placing order" and there was no problem delivering to Ireland.

You could buy a Xbox hard drive off eBay (about €35 for 20gb) as there is only 3% off the Arcade version.

Any major disadvantage of the Arcade over the Elite?

AFAIK the extras in the Elite are:
1) Matte Black finish (both Console and controller)
2) Ethernet Cable
3) Headset
4) 120Gb HDD

So I guess you gotta decide if the Black finish is worth a €50-€60 premium.

Went for it for £113 (minus 45 gift voucher) - only game left was Fifa. Looks like the bundle deal seems to be selling out fast.

I was tempted last night to get one and am disappointed to see it go up.

I was looking at these over the christmas and the elite with the free games was only available for the older version with the falcon motherboard. Now they must be sold out and the jasper version has the free games. But the price for that is now £199 and it was £189 last week.

The new jasper motherboard is meant to solve the RROD problem and uses less power and I think is quieter too.

I think they're 149 in xtravision if you buy a game with it. Similar offers in game and gamestop as I recall.

I ended up upgrading to standard delivery as Super Saver said it would only be dispatched on the 8th. Is this acctually true or is it to make you pay extra for standard? i.e will super saver be sent tomorrow aswell? Sorry for the questions -just can't wait for the xbox!

I've been looking around. This one comes with no hard disk. There's an xbox live starter kit in Hmv.co.uk I found.

It's 55 pounds though + delivery. I found a couple of cheap hdd's on ebay but a lot of them are used or unofficial. Any of the starter kits I found on ebay were 60 pounds + delivery. Finding it hard to do better than that.

No the tracking number is not showing up on the An Post website. As far as I know it doesn't until it arrives in the country. Last thing I ordered from Amazon came from Germany. My guess is that it won't arrive til early next week.

delivery today 3pm

so yours should be monday imo
