Thanks in advance for any help!

I wanted to copy all the music from a 4 year old iPod 5th Generation to a new iTouch. There are lots of apps, but none of them seen to move between the two formats of device. Is it possible?

    Cheers...

Not directly between them as far as I am aware. If your music is on your computer can you not just use that?

your old iPod and your new "iTouch" with is actually an iPod Touch, it should make no difference, once you connect your Touch to iTunes you can simply syns away!

ive done it when chaning from my older iPod 80GB to my Touch.

The reason the Apps wont transfer is because the apps are for the Touch, and they wont work on the older iPod.

Thanks guys - problem is that the older iPod has music from a variety of sources over the last few years, it's not all on the same version of iTunes.

Ah well, we'll work it out!

    Cheers...

    which os are you using?

there are a couple of programs that should let you pull the music down from the ipod easily enough.

Then drop it into itunes and throw it on the ipod touch that way.
