adult caution

    if accepting a adult caution lets say for criminal danage can a person then be sued by the victims of the crime?

    Yes.

    The person can be sued in any event, whether they accept the adult caution or not, and whether they are prosecuted or not, and whether they are found guilty or not. Admittedly the civil suit would be effectively undefendable if the person accepted the adult caution or pleaded guilty to a criminal charge.

    However, even the dismissal of a criminal charge/acquittal on indictment does not prevent the civil case being brought as there are many reasons why this could happen. Equally a different and lower standard of proof applies in civil v criminal cases.
